Privacy Policy

What we collect

Tailbot tracks bot and crawler traffic on your website. When a known bot visits a page on your site, we record:

• Bot name and user-agent string
• Page URL that was crawled
• Timestamp of the visit
• IP address (for bot identification only, not stored long-term)

What we do not collect

We do not track human visitors. Tailbot only logs requests from known bots and crawlers. We do not use cookies, collect personal data from your site's users, or track browsing behavior.

Account data

When you create a Tailbot account, we store your email address and name through our authentication provider (Clerk). This is used solely for account access and communication about your subscription.

Data retention

Bot visit data is retained for 90 days. After that, it is automatically deleted. You can export your data at any time from the Reports section of your dashboard.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication
• MongoDB Atlas — database
• Vercel — hosting
• Stripe — payment processing (coming soon)

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@tailbot.io.
